Cant log on to My Microsoft account

by Jhanuus / December 8, 2016 12:25 PM PST

Hello, hope it's okay i ask a question for u guys.
So i Bought this new graphics Card earlier this week Gtx 1070, and i Waynes to restore my PC to the condition it was in When i got it from the store ( it's a prebuild with Windows 8). But i had upgraded IT to Windows 10 quite a while ago.

So i Went Ahead and restored it. And IT all went great, so i started downloading My stuff i had before such as steam, origin etc.
And then i Desided i Wanted to have windows10 again, so i searched for IT on the internet becuse i did not find it on my pc, and i found a site that told me to press a link to download it, so i did, and it all seemed to be fine, untill i had to restart my pc to finish the update to windows 10, then it froze on the HP logo and i couldnt get anywhere from there, untill i searched the problem on google, so i got it "fixed" and got into some meny where i could restore some parts of my pc again, but not delete local files this time, so i did. and then i got into this so called login screen, i didnt have any internet connection so i had to remotly put in ethernet cable.
and now when im trying to log on to my account it tells me i have the wrong password(im certain that it's the right password). i have even tried to create a new account but it tells me i have the wrong password on that acc too.

so i cant get in on my computer after i downloaded win 10 and the restored it again. please help, im too exited to play with my new graphics card to wait this long.

thanks in advace!

Clarification Request
A lot of typos there.

OK, go ahead and create a new user with a local login so Windows 10 can finish then let Windows update for a week. But during that time try making a new user account with the Microsoft method.

Remember folk. NOTHING has changed in protecting our PCs. We must always have a few spare Admin capable local login accounts. Folk new to Windows might try to run with just a Microsoft account but they often get burned.

Here's the local account method.

_> about the Microsoft account. That's between you and Microsoft. No one here or at any 1800 number can fix this. So far all the 1800 numbers we've seen are scams. Don't fall for those.

You can't login into it on your PC. But can you login to from your browser on other devices? If all is fine there, it's just an issue with your PC.

You downloaded something from some site, then you did some fix you found on google and you got into some menu where you could restore some parts of your PC. You don't blame me for not fully understanding what you did, do you?

I'd go back to factory conditions, then immediately install Windows 10 from the media you create with the MEDIA CREATION TOOL (google that). Should work.

Only install with a Microsoft account if you absolutely need that to sync your settings across multiple devices or to download Windows 10 Modern apps. If not, install with a local account only. And, as Bob said, create at least 2 accounts with administrative capabilities.

Usually, that's by booting from the recovery media that came with the machine or that you were invited/instructed to make when you first used it. If you forgot, you might be able to buy them from the maker. Or maybe (but that's unsure after you upgraded to Windows 10) by booting from the recovery partition as instructed in the user manual.

If no luck, do a clean install of Windows 10, but then you have to download and install a few drivers and such from the makers site. Sometimes, that's a problem. If you go back to factory conditions, they are already installed and Windows 10 picks them up. So that's what we advice for a first try.

Well you can change your password for your

MS account on any device. Typically they will send you a code to verify that you are really who you are if you elect to change password. After the anniversary update of Windows 10 your digital entitlement will get linked to your MS account when you change hardware. This will help when you when you activate Windows 10 on the new install. MS says the linked of the DE to MS account will make it so people that change hardware won't have to call MS to activate Windows 10 on a clean install.
