i recently used my rescue disk because my computer was acting up. since then i have not been able to view any videos on google video. also can't view video on you tube.
i have gotten warnings saying to enable script, it already is. also warnings to install macromedia flash player 8. when i try to do this it always installs version 6.

i have reinstalled all of the programs that i previously used i think. i have gotten all of the windows updates.

i am running windows me, amd athlon 1000mhz, 448mb ram, nvidia riva tnt2 model 64, dvd r dl, dsl modem,

i am not a novice with this computer, i have used it for 6 years and have always been able to figure everything out. this time i am stumped. please help.

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

Hi,
Give this a go!!!

Go to the Macromedia of =

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
[May have to "Copy and Paste" the above into the Internet Address field and hit "Enter"]

From within the above site Download both for "Windows ME" of the "Uninstallers" for the programs you are have problems with, and at the same time do download their latest Flash and Shockwave programs

Next, uninstall the old programs and install the new programs

By doing this will give you fresh programs which may possibly overcome your problems!

thanks for the quick response. i actually just fixed my problem with some help from the shockwave forums. i needed to install "install_flash_player_active_x.exe"
this seemed to make everything nice nice.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
