Question

Cant hear film watching movie through smart hub - only sky

by Jo-McG / December 3, 2011 9:41 PM PST

I have a UE46D8000 samsung TV which i have connected up a samsung home cinema and also have a sky box connected.
I tried to watch a movie through the tv (smarthub) on "love Films" and also an alternative company but the sound does not come through. All i can hear is Sky TV?
I have tried all the different sources and turning the Sky off but the movie sound does not come through?

The TV needs to be connected by optical Cable to the AV Receiver, for this to work

Thanks for your advice, however i am already using an optical cable and was told to have this from the sky box to the blue ray/ home cinema system. I have a usb from the tv to the sky box and a usb from the tv to the blue ray/ home cinema systems.
I have since read a report that smarthub does not support a 5.1 system due to the signal that it sends out.
As I am not technical in any way, if you have any further updates for me or comments on the acticle that i read, could you put them in laymans language.
Thanks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
