Hi i googled the error you got and found this, hopefully it points you in the rite direction. http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic45247.html
I have a Compaq presario 5000 PC that wont work. This is what i did i uninstalled Microsoft service pack 3 successfully and when the pc restarted this is what it did.
A blue screen appear that said: Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
And then it tells me I can start up in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good configuration, or start windows normally.
I have tried ever single one of those and each and every one of them leads to that dreaded blue screen that says: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you?ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps: Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard drive configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
*** STOP: 0X0000007B (0XF7A86528,0XC0000034,0X00000000,0X00000000)
And there's no way for me to get past this screen...
So what am I supposed to do? Can my computer and all my stuff on it still be saved? I would greatly appreciate your help!
