For WiFi there's the old 2.4 and the newer 5 Ghz frequency band. What happens if you set the router to use 2.4?
Recently i wanted to use an old laptop to watch TV series on Netflix, but I got a problem, because laptop do not want to connect to a wireless wifi network using the Huawei EchoLife HG8247H router. The problem also occurs when i am trying to link router with a laptop on an ethernet cable, then the connection is established, access to the internet is, but the pages in the browser do not load. In addition, at home I have a tp link signal amplifier that sends out a signal and with which the laptop can be easily connected and can be used from the Internet. I suspect that the network card does not see certain ranges of wifi frequencies or does not support any baud rate mode, but does not want to change the router parameters without prior expert opinion, which may be the problem.
The methods I tried but did not produce:
- Check password encryption, but on the amplifier and router is the same, so it's not about it.
- Deleting the connection to the network and trying to reconnect by entering the appropriate security key.
- Flirting on MAC numbers of network cards is turned off.
- Updating the network adapter drivers in the device manager.
- Scan the laptop with Malwares Anti - Malware.
- Anti-virus shutdown.
- Restart router.
Thank you for your help.
