Aug 9, 2016 11:28AM PDT

Purchased a used Dell Latitude E4300 running windows 10.For the past 4 weeks,no problem getting online.Now,I can't,even tho i'm shown I have a good wifi connection.Checked settings,control panel,and still can't fix this.
Any ideas on what's wrong,or where I should start?

Does it do this at all WiFi hotspots?
Aug 9, 2016 11:36AM PDT

Does it do this when wired?

Is there any antivirus suite like Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky? Those and more will do as you write when they expire. I mince no words how I feel about that. Thuggish programming.

McAfee has been known to block the web.

You have to use the McAfee removal tool to really get rid of it.

A few new developements
Aug 9, 2016 5:58PM PDT

a few new developments,Checking Control Panel;devices,I found that I am missing 3 drivers. PCI Simple Communications controller doesn't have a Driver,PCI Serial Port doesn't have a Driver, and Broadcom USH doesn't have a driver!!!-Guess this could be the problem??

I see that windows 10,does not automatically install a driver like windows 7 did. Duh,what should I do now?

p.s.: it did connect using the ethernet cable,BUT, the keyboard won't work.

The first two are for dial up modems.

I have not met a dial up modem user in 6 years now. Do you need the dial up modem working?

About the keyboard. I just took a Dell 2006 model E1505 all the way from XP to W10 and found the BIOS update was mandatory for this to work. Lucky me I had the old OS on HDD so I slipped that back in and did the BIOS update. Power off, battery out and put in the new SSD with W10 and now it's all good.

That USH item.

"The Broadcom Unified Security Hub (USH) drivers are included in the Dell ControlPoint Security Device Driver Pack, these drivers are located in the ControlPoint download category for your computer."

I see if I google Broadcom USH, Dell has some documents about that.
