- All lights on the modem as they should be?
- From the laptop can you ping the router, the modem and your ISP?
- All other laptops, phones and tablets you tried can connect at your home?
- Your home network (connecting your laptop with other laptops and desktops at home) works, so it's only the connection to the outside world that doesn't work?
My laptop stopped connecting to the internet a few days ago. Here's what I've tried, nothing has worked.
Unplugged, replugged laptop, modem and router.
Plugged Ethernet cable direct into laptop.
Tried a different cable.
Then :Took laptop to my office and plugged into their internet- it worked fine. Then also logged into the Wi-Fi we have in the building and again it worked fine.
I'm not terrible computer savvy, so I don't know what to try next. Thanks.
