Cant burn DVDs with Roxio

Dec 16, 2007 5:37AM PST

I tried to burn DVDs with Roxio Easy CD creator V.5.3.4.21 SP8
but it doesnt recognise or cannot find the DVD drive installed eventhough Nero does, as do all other software. I have an external LG DVD drive.
I know it's pretty old, but it does have DataDVD project to burn DVDs. Thus, what do I do?

Roxio has a database of supported drives.

It your version doesn't list your drive then it's game over. I'll share I use CDBURNERXP for data DVD work. But since you have NERO why bother with Roxio or other?

Roxio cd burning software

Roxio has been having this recognition problem for sometime now. I suggest you go to the Roxio site to see about the available updates. Make sure that the software is compaitble with what you are using.
I'd used the site once before but, eventually stopped using Roxio altogether and went with Nero7. Nero does everything i need it to do.

Don't believe Easy CD Creator V5 worked with XP...you need
Dec 24, 2007 1:59AM PST

V6.0 or newer to use Easy CD Creator with XP.

A quick search thru your favorite search engine should help you find version 8.2 or 9.? for about $10.00 plus shipping.

Might also consider updating the firmware on you DVD drive too.

It's too unlikely that they will be back. Make a new post with your question so you'll get answers.
