As you discover there there is no need to lose your files.
As to that restore DVD, call Acer and ask if there is a repair feature that won't wipe out your files.
In closing, hard disks are temporary. But who tells you this?
Ive had an acer f5 pc for a while now and been working ok for about 4 months, turned it on today and BAM, message saying:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt
then it just sais to insert the original windows cd to repair it , but ofcourse with acer they just give you a DVD to take you back to the defualt factory settings!!:@ , is there anyway at all i can fix this problem without losing all my files??? I hope there is, please help me,
