I have that functionality on my LiDE 30 also. Very nice. I can't check here at the moment if there's a setting and how to check/uncheck it.
The first thing to do is to try it in another Windows account. It's a recommended practice to have at least one spare admin account on any Windows PC, so that other one is a good choice for this experiment.
Same? Or does it work correctly there?

I use my CanoScan LiDE 70 via the CanoScan Toolbox. I don't scan very often, but (until now) it has been simple to operate. Most often I "Print" or "PDF" to pdf files. Previously, for multipage scans, I could append each page to the output file by scanning each page & clicking "Finish" after scanning the last page. In fact, I always kept that setting, even for single page documents.
I have lost that ability & can't find a setting to allow it. Now the pages are saved separately as they are scanned.
How do I append multiple pages into one output file?
Thanks
