Canon ZR-90 problem

When I went to record my daughter's birthday party, the only think I could record was the sound. There is no image on the LCD nor when you look in the viewfinder (and yes, the lens cap was off :)). Not technically savy on camcorders, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Nope, nothing at all. When I go to play it back, all you hear is the sound of what was recorded, no video.
