Canon VIXIA HF M30 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder Error Message

Dec 27, 2010 11:36AM PST

Hello,

I have Canon VIXIA HF M30 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder.
I am getting the message "task in progress do not disconnect" every time I switch off my Cam. It stays for 3 seconds before going off.
Is it normal or there is something wrong with my camcorder. My camcorder is not connected to Computer not I have any SD card . I am using internal 8GB memory.

Please help.

I am geting the same error message on my new Canon M30 too.
[task in progress do not disconnect].
I just opened the box and charged the battery for the first time & formatted
my SDHC card.
I may have snapped a photo by mistake and turned the power off while the access light was blinking?

I would like to know why this is happening too?
This is my first camcorder.

I called Canon support and was told that is a normal system message.
It will display that message every time the camcorder is turned off.
It's telling you not to remove the battery [or power supply] until the camcorders power is off.
