Venerable camcorder

The UC-X30 was new in 2008 so is quite a venerable camcorder by today's standards. I would guess that wear and tear has taken its toll. There may be a small hole under the tape door and, with a fine pointer, you may be able to release the door.
Fixing your cam could be expensive and, due to its age, may prove impossible. I retired my Canon HV20 as I became concerned with the wear on the mechanical tape drive.
I suggest you move on to newer models with SD card recording and no mechanical moving parts. Sorry. Confused

I find

There are no repair shops for these anymore. You will find "eject won't work" posts on the Internet if you want to read more but the advice remains to those with tape cameras to get the content out while you can and stop making more tapes.

If you need to get your videos out, hope and search for the few working camcorders on Ebay.
