I've been doing a ton of reasearch trying to decide what my next digital camera is going to be, and after landing between the SD800 and the DSC-T100, I started hearing news about the SD850, which apparently will be an upgrade from the SD700. The user reviews of the SD700 seemed to be more favorable than the SD800, so I think I'll just wait till the 850 comes out and buy that on Ebay.
I am looking to purchase my first digital camera. I have limited my search down to two; Canon Powershot SD800 or Sony Cyber-shot DSC-t100.
My common uses will include; nature shots, high and low light, action shots (sports), clubs, architecture, people, and any other common uses.
I do not need a bunch of tricks and whistles on my camera, as this is my first digital camera. But, I do demand very good picture quality and also would like a strong zoom that does not sacrifice for clarity. I am also pretty active, so I would like something relatively durable. And, finally, a video option would be nice.
And, I have read a few comments where people have mentioned the Canon 850IS, is this different that the Canon mentioned above? Thanks a lot for the help.
