Canon SD400 vs Casio EXZ55

May 4, 2005 10:14AM PDT

Was just wondering which had the better image quality of the two. So far I've been reading reviews which say the Canon has better, then other reviews say the Casio has better. I've also been hearing that the Canon has a tendency for the LCD to break. What would be the best bet out of these two?

Go with the Canon SD400. The camera is extremely compact and takes good pictures. The DIGIC II processor is superior..

Ever see U.P.I. or National G. using a Casio?

My daughter has a Casio 4mp. It's a fine little camera and takes acceptable images. Why not do it right, and opt for the SD500? For roughly $50/mp...see buydig.com, this camera nearly cracks the lens with its phenominal images. Called Canon, and they clearly agree with me in that carrying the SD series, or any other for that matter, in Canon's beautiful PSC50 case eliminates LCD problems. As with any fine instrument, a digital camera doesn't respond well to being crammed into a pair of Levi's, or an overstuffed back pack. Enjoy!
