canon s600 HELP!!

by cameraHELP! / September 9, 2007 1:31 AM PDT

my LCD screen packed in some time ago, but i've been able to take pictures & view them on my computer later.
have just returned from a holiday of a lifetime, excited to see my photos. HOWEVER only half of my photos have uploaded, the other have just have jpeg icons, with 0 pixel showing when i hold the mouse above.
i'm a complete computer/camera charlatan, so excuse if this ramble does not make sense.
can anyone help me, or does it sound like my pictures do not actually exist?

In reply to: canon s600 HELP!! have me puzzled.

I have a few questions:

What is a Canon S600 digital camera?
I don't find such a camera in their past history.

How are you able to take photos if your LCD is dead?

How are you downloading the photos to your computer?

On the photos with no photo.
RIGHT click on the file name of the photo.
Click Properties

You should see:
the size of the file
and the "Size on Disk".

If these are zero or near zero, there is no picture.

sorry! its a samsung. i was very tired last night!
the lcd function stopped working months ago. it has never prevented me taking pictures in the past. its just like having a digital camera, with the added old school bonus of having to wait to see your pictures!
i have clicked on properties, and theres nothing on the 110 pictures that haven't seemed to upload. oh well.
any ideas why that may have happened?
why would my camera continue to allow me to take pictures, but not actually store them?

There is no way to know why.
The camera may have been warning you of a problem,
but without a could not see the warning.
