Canon s S80 Video Convert Question

First off - I love the video quality of my S80 - fantasic 1024x768.

The video size is huge which I expect with quality - does anyone know a good program which will reduce the size of the video for Emailing ? like divx or mpg - also software for editing the original AVI. My Adobe Premiere 1.5 doesn't understand the codec.
