Canon Rebel XS VS XSi (Used)?

Canon Refurbished

FYI, you can buy a factory refurbished XS directly from Canon for 351.99; I think shipping adds $15 or so. A factory refurbshed camera is virtually indistinguishable from a new one, and it comes with a 90 day warranty.

Warranty

Whoah, thanks. Although I'm wondering how useful the 90day warranty will be....extendable, maybe? it's also outside by budget range, since my original was $300 and max is at $350.

Answer
Used is just that.

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=441161 covers the usual warranty discussion.

But used is just that. For example I took my older digital camera to Niagara Falls and put it in a plastic zip lock baggie. While it did survive and later I gifted it away (battery cost vs. newer fancier camera) the new owner may be nonplussed if they knew that I subjected to more abuse as I was planning to replace it soon.
