Resolved Question

Canon Powershot sx30IS or Nikon Coolpix P500

Oct 25, 2011 10:58PM PDT

Though I am not aware of all the technical details behind a camera while shooting pictures, still I like to take pictures. So I am trying to get a camera that gives a good zoom level and picture quality so that I could capture all good moments that is going to happen. Here I fell into these options
1) Canon Powershot sx30 IS
2) Nikon Coolpix P500

I suggest you forget the SX30-IS and look at the SX40-HS instead.
The SX30 IS was stretching the CCD sensor to the limit and the picture quality was not the best.
The SX40 HS uses the CMOS sensor which lets it compare well with the Nikon P500, including speed.

Now go back and compare the Nikon P500 with the Canon SX40 HS.

I was exactly looking at this camera after putting this post though slightly suspicious about it.
Now got it cleared. Thanks a lot. Happy
