Scroll down to the 5th item called "Older Cameras (several brands) with bad CCD sensors."
Start reading there.
I have had two different cameras fixed for free by Canon for this problem.
It only took a week to get them repaired and returned.
I don't know if they are still doing free repairs but it is well worth the effort to find out.
I suggest you telephone Canon service and tell them your A95 has a bad sensor.
They are well aware of the problem.

My Canon PowerShot A95 has worked well for many years and 7000 pictures, but now it is distorting colors--blue-grays (sky, rocks etc) appear as magentas, both in my digital pictures and on the camera's viewscreen. Why? Is this fixable? Any advice greatly appreciated.
