First of all you should reset the camera.
You may have inadvertently set something that is causing problems.
See page 53 of the User Manual to see how to set the camera to factory settings.
Then go to page 154 of the User Manual and set the File Numbering to Continuous.
Be sure to read the whole page, particularly the last paragraph (in grey) at the bottom of the page.
Date stamp info is on page 60.
Be sure to read the entire page.
Especially the part that says "they can not be deleted"
For toddler type action pictures indoor, you should use flash.
I need help. Most of my pictures are of my on-the-move toddlers and I can't consistently get clear photos using Auto or Sport or any other settings. What can I do? Do I need to set manual settings and if so, what? Most of my pictures are taken indoors. Also, I tend to miss great shots waiting for my camera to shoot - what can I do to improve this?
Two odd irritants...
1- My picture file name numbering keeps resetting itself after I transfer pictures from camera to computer. I checked the settings and its set to continuous. It didn't do this the first 3 times (and I had powered the battery during these trials).
2- My date stamp resets itself to off randomly.
Please help! My last camera was a Kodak EasyShareZ700 (old, I know!) but it was consistent!
