Canon Optura 600 (2006)

Mar 22, 2009 12:41PM PDT

While playing back the tape on my TV from the camera, I tripped on the cables and the camera fell about 3 feet onto carpet. When I tried to turn the camera on there was no reaction. I've tried changing the battery, but there was no result. I will probably end up sending it back to Canon to fix, but I thought I might as well see if there was something I hadn't tried out there. I'm also hoping for a way to get the tape out since the eject is electronic and no power is getting to the camera.

Does a whole camera just shut down after a drop? Or did I break something that has to do with the battery. Your comments would be appreiciated.
