Canon MV700i

Ive just bought this camcorder and am very pleased with it, however I think i may have made a monumental error, i want to be able to upload the images on the tapes to my computer and then with the correct software create my own films/ dvd's e.t.c, Can I do this with this camera?? any help much appreciated

Yes, you can do it, but this camera records using the

PAL standard. That may be a problem if you use NTSC otherwise (US standard). I am not sure about that. It does have a firewire output which will allow you to upload the video to your computer. Your computer will, of course, need to have a firewire port.

I am in England ive just got a new computer as well so it should have, I have looked at the manual and I need a cv-150f (4 pin) or a cv 250f (4-6) cable I have been on one website only and the cable was 45 pounds , any idea on prices, your help is much appreciated anyway thankyou

I would check an electronics store for a cable which

will connect to the camera. I'm not sure, but I think they tend to be standard connections.
