Canon MP560 reads "printer offline" though it's connected

My printer recently started giving me a false "printer offline" message when I send a file to print, even though the printer is on/connected via USB. It gives no other error so I can't figure out what the problem is.

I've tried plugging it into different USB ports, putting paper in both trays, printing with different settings, "resetting" the printer.. nothing has worked. Any ideas?

And the common fix is to try system restore to when it worked as well as uninstall it and set it up like new.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
