Canon Legria HF20 Mac issue

I cannot connect this camcorder to my Mac computer as it will not recognise it. I have installed the Digital Video Software already, but the camcorder still wont connect. Anyone have any ideas?

If that software was in the box with the camcorder,

as with any other software included in the box with the camcorder is basically useless and unneeded.

The HF20 is flash memory based and captures very highly compressed AVCHD/MTS files. I don't recall if it is internal flash memory or if external cards are used.

You have not told us which Mac you are using, what version Mac OSX is installed or what you are expecting to happen when you connect the camcorder to the Mac with the included USB cable...
