Canon HF20 still image better quality?

Sep 13, 2011 12:58PM PDT

Hi~
I have the above camera and the still image looks poor. I am using it with iPhoto. Is this the camera or me? As far as i can tell I am importing the photos at the largest size however they don't look that good and the image is small. I can't seem to make any adjustment to iPhoto as far as the import size goes.

Anybody use this camera? Any secret adjustment or is this it? How can I get better quality?

The camcorder focuses correctly and fast even in dim lighting setting. For the best video quality, Canon has suggested the use of a Class 4 (or higher) SDHC memory card. Considering the size of the lens, the video quality was superb with great exposures, well-saturated colors and very realistic images. The quality of the still photos was also very good.
