Canon HF100 editing help

by shuhbonkboo / September 18, 2008 9:51 AM PDT

So I just finished shooting about a full 8gb card's worth in footage and pictures and I want to edit and author a few DVDs. I have a fairly old computer so I was wondering what software I could use/handle.

P4 3.0Ghz
ATI 1600XT

The RAM should be fine...

The processor may be a bit slow. Any usual editing software should work, including Sony, Corel, and Pinnacle.

I converted the m2ts files to mpeg2 using Elecard Converter Studio because I couldn't get the m2ts files to play on my computer. Which software is fairly user friendly? I have a little experience with Adobe Premiere but if there's a better program out there then I'm open to trying it. Thanks
