If you want 16:9 go with the pdx10.
If not, go with the GL2.
Hi,I am interested on buying a 3ccd camcorder... After searching a lot, I don't know which of the 3 camcorders offers me a better quality. Can you give me your advise, please?

thank you drhiberd!
I want a cam for documentaries and professional work. That's why I was thinking between Sony and Canon. What about Panasonic? Some people suggest it is better than both -sony and canon...
I got the panasonic and i love it , my friend has a gl2 and after using my panasonic and his gl he wanted my camera haha . Its great if you are on a budget and performs just as well if not better than a gl2 but the one problem i found is that if you want to use a fisheye or wide angle lens you will have to use step up rings(43mm filter threads are a akward size and finding a decent lens is near impossible). I am not going to get into all the details but for the price of a slighty used gl2 you can get a brand new panasonic . I love my camera and i would recommend it to anyone .
They are all very good camcorders. The Sony would not be as good in low light due to it's smaller ccds.
The Canon is actually only about $200 more than the Panasonic right now at B & H with the $250 mail in rebate. For that little of a price difference, I would choose the Canon, but that's just me.
You could make a strong case for either one.
You should really try and get your hands on both to see which one you like better. See which one feels better to you.
