Canon FS10 File viewing and editing

Mar 10, 2009 11:51PM PDT

I've seen a couple of threads on this but not this specific problem.

When trying to view/burn the files from my FS10, they work fine in the software provided (InmageMixer 3) but if I try to use Windows Movie Maker or other easier software, I can view the videos but there is no audio. And the files are being saved as .mpeg Any advice on this??

ok....i just tried DVD flick.....it worked and made the audio work in Windows player but for a 20 min video it showed a 10 hour conversion time, and it cost for the license. any other ideas? Really don't want to take that long to convert files

Any thoughts?

I am able to convert them, but don't understand why since they are saved in an .mpg file. Isn't that a common file type? Any thoughts?

What costs?

DVD FLICK is free. Some thing's fishy.

For years people have wanted the conversions to run fast. Get in line buddy!

When I used DVD flick, it said if I didn't upgrade that it would leave a watermark on the video. And now my main questions is why am I having to convert if its an .mpg ? I thought that was a common file type

Very odd.

"Completely free without any adware, spyware or limitations"

You must have some other software doing this. Here there is NO WATERMARK.

PS. You should research why the conversion needs to be done. Hint? You are asking a Frequently Asked Question. My answer is to go find out. Let's focus on getting the job done first.
