Canon ES2000 video tracking problem

Feb 26, 2006 7:21AM PST

My old, old Canon ES2000 seems to have a tracking problem on the playback of some of the old family HI-8 videos we have taken--not all, just some. The picture is not too bac, just a few lines at the bottom of the screen popping up and down. However, when they show up, it cuts out the sound, some of which is vital to the scenes.

Do you have any idea how to adjust the tracking on playback? I would like to copy these to DVD.

Thank You,

Jerry

1. Have the unit repaired.

2. Play the tapes in another unit.
