It seems as it doesn't do what you want by using USB cable. As, you can read from this Elura 65 Features page, you can transfer only short movies.
With the Elura's improved Motion JPEG feature, you can record short movie clips in 320 x 240 or 160 x 120 for the full length of the SD Memory Card. Afterwards, quickly transfer your mini movie to a computer and attach it to an e-mail or post it on the web.
But what's the problem for an 1394 add-on card ? I see Firewire 400 PCI cards in the range of 12-20 USD and Firewire 800 PCI 32 (or 64) cards. Here's one Firewire 800 PCI-32T example.

I need to know if there is anyway possible to transfer higher resolution video than 320x280 from the Canon Elura 65 without using the IEEE 1394 FireWire. My computer doesnt have the IEEE 1394 FireWire terminal. So is it possible to transfer High-Resolution Digital Video to my harddrive using the USB cable?
Please help me,
