is the only one on your list with an external mic-in jack. You might consider getting a camera bracket with a cold-shoe to mount an external mic if you go that route... the Elutra does not have a built-on accessory shoe. For this reason only, the other two would fall off my list - even if they have better imaging specs.
Okay, so I have been trying to do all my homework on camcorders this past week and need a little advice.
I want to spend less than $500 on a mini dv and want to get the best camera I can for me. I am interested in having a really good picture quality, and I will be recording outdoors just as much as indoors (I'd hope to have an above average low light camera). Mostly recording family events, etc. May do some editing afterwards as well.
Right now I am trying to decide between the Canon ELura 100, Panasonic PV-GS320, and the PV-GS85. The best prices I have found are $359 for a brand new Elura 100, $395 for a PV-GS320, and $259 for the PV-GS85.
Please give any advise you might have between these models or any other cameras I should look into.
Thanks!
