canon EF lenses on digital body?

I am considering going digital. I still have canon A2E film system with EF zoom lenses. can I use my EF lenses on a Rebel XT body?

Yes.....All EF lenses will work.

But since the sensor on the digital Rebel is smaller than the size of 35mm film, there will be a difference in effective focal length.

Multiply all of the lens focal lengths by 1.6 to get the effective focal length for the digital Rebel.

i.e. an EF lens rated at 200mm will appear to be 320mm when used on the digital Rebel.
