Question

Canon BJ-200e buble jet printer

Jun 5, 2014 9:18AM PDT

Just took this out of the garage and am curious as to whether I should purchase a cartridge-I have Windows 8. I believe it worked when I stored it away, but not sure. I believe it is a very good printer. Also, if advised to buy a cartridge, should I buy an original or from internet sites such as 123 inkjets.

I appreciate your input!

Karen

I have a printer that works. The reason I was interested in possibly using this again is because I like that it is small. I have the parallel ports and believe it is a black and white and only takes one cartridge-BC-02 which I haven't looked up yet to see if they still sell this one.

Since it works, why any question at all?

There is/was spam from 123 so that's a no go zone for me. Get it off Canon or Amazon and carry on?

It's your printer, an OLD printer but you state you have the connection and the will to buy new ink. Well buy OEM ink and then attach printer and test it alone, remember the self-test??? Next, connect to PC, will it work with Win8, maybe as a "generic LPT printer" setting unless Canan BJ-200 is listed because i though any new Win8 drivers are available. In other words play all you want. If you really want a small printer, get a newer laptop portable type with USB or bluetooth operation and be on the latest releases, etc. and allow Win8 better access to making this all work. Of course do this after your results with the Bj-200.

Please do come back with your results, others would like to know. enjoy

both original and aftermarket will work. Available at Staples or on line
it has old hook up which won't work with modern computers
If you choose not to use it i would be interested in buying it from you for my Grandmother
