A lot of "words" have been written about the color purity of digital cameras. The brutal fact is that it's close enough to see a mass exodus to digital cameras vs. film.
If you want, the color correction can be done later but most will not invest in a device like you see at http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=A0360990&cs=19&c=us&l=en
The most common issues I have during travel is charging the camera (AA batteries can be nice) and how to empty the camera.

I'll be going to Glacier National Park then on an Alaskan cruise next summer and want more MP than my Olypus D-460 supplies. I also enjoy taking close-ups of family, flora and fauna. I like the Canon PowerShot A-95 but read that the white balance isn't great "especially when photographing white objects". Is this the right camera for me considering that I'll be taking pics of glaciers and snow?
Thanks!
