Cannot use Mimobot 512MB Flash Drive

Hey,

I cannot get a Mimobot512MB Flash Drive to work in a compaq presario r3000. The first I plugged it in and tried to install, the computer blue screened on me due to an unrelated problem. Any other type of flash drives work in the laptop, as well as an 80GB usb external hard drive. The Mimobot also runs on any other computer its been tried on. The Operating System is WinXP.

What happens is it has a really hard time recognizing it. the window for my computer seems to freeze for a very very long time (10, 15 minutes) and if it finally shows up (as drive f:, but nothing in the window is selectable. If I double click the drive to check it out, it says F:/ is not accessible, then something along the lines of "failure due to I/O error"

Is it possible (without using system restore as that's not availble) to remove anything that the mimobot might have installed, and have it reinstall from scratch? The first time it was plugged in, it found the new hard ware, but afterwards that never came up again, and safely remove hardware doesn't always work either.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
