Maybe it's closed? A closed disc can't be appended to.
Maybe better use RW-disc that can be erased for a newer version. Or use an external hard disk.

Is there anything that I have done wrong here? I am trying to use DVD-R+ Double-sided discs as backup media for Windows 7 Backup/Restore program. It worked once, but now I'm getting message that the disc can't be used for my 2nd backup???
I have a DL disc drive which works fine for everything else but the backup.
