Cannot update iphone

Hi,my son and i have both just got an iphone 3gs,when i connect my iphone to itunes everything works ok,but when my son connects his iphone to itunes on a different user account on the same pc he has to run iphone set up process every time,also he cannot update his iphone,a message pops up saying not connected to the internet.but the pc is connected to the internet.i am running the lataest version of itunes on a windows 7 pc,have tried a repair install of itune,but that did not help.thanks

Are both accounts in question Administrator accounts?

Hi,thanks for the reply,both accounts are admin accounts,clearly something on my sons account is set up differently,but what i dont know.

Make another admin account and see if it works there.
