Jul 22, 2004 11:31PM PDT

Get the following error message when i try to uninstall in add/remove programs:

0: Uninstall folder not found:

HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\[Product CurrentVersion]\Uninstall\Uninstall Log Folder

Steps taken so far:

1.Before uninstall, i used the uninstall option in the main program folder by going to Programs-Systemworks folder-uninstall program
2. Reboot and try uninstall numerous times but no luck
3. Added 0 or 1 in regedit of the REG_Z line in the SystemWorks uninstall folder [previous value was not set]
4. reinstalled SystemWorks 2001 and 2003 but no success

Here's system specs:

2000 Pro
786MB RAM
AMD XP2100
12gb free hd
Norton systemworks 2001

PLEASE HELP.

A quick thought. You are doing this as adminstrator?
It is unclear if you are using Windows add/remove programs or the applications uninstall.

When you say you re-installed and it did not work what do you mean? It installed OK, but will not uninstall? Did you use the Norton uninstall?

Yes, logged in as administrator.

First used software uninstall option & then add/remove in control panel.

When I reinstalled Systemworks 2001 again (thinking it would re-add the Uninstall folder back - wherever that went to??), it did go thru it's process ok. And rebooted when it prompt ed me to.

I also have Symantec PC Anywhere 11.0, which we just uninstalled in case b/c that was giving us error messages when we first boot up.

I just "love" Windows.

In the start - programs - norton you should have an uninstall option. That would seem to be the same one you used the first time.

If you look under c: programs there will be a folder for systemworks (norton) that will have the uninstall.exe file.

Use the find (start) option and see if you may have inadvertently installed multiple copies of norton.
