Cannot transfer vid files to memory stick now....

I was transferring some picture(jpeg) and videos(avi file)from my pictures on computer which were taken from a digi cam onto a memory stick(usb) to watch on the tv via usb drive on dvd player. Then when I was taking them off the usb memory stick from the computer as I was deleting them something popped up. Didn't know the arrow was right on it, was using annoying touch pad on laptop and it clicked yes before I got to see what it was.

Now after I emptied the stick I tried doing the same files to watch onto the dvd player again and a screen popped up saying "Are you sure you want to copy this file without its properties? The file has properties that cannot be coppied to a new location."

So I right clicked the .avi file and checked properties and the properties show up. I am guessing a piece of the properties file got deleted for those .avi files.

Think I remember seeing something about thumbprint when it accidentally deleted something from the file when taking them off the memory stick.

Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.
