Since there's no standard e-mail in Windows Vista, it's not clear what mails it are.
Let's assume it are mails you deleted from Windows Mail or Windows Live mai or Outlookl. Then it seems that that deletion wasn't noticed by Windows Search.
Try to rebuilt the search index as indicated in http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/reset-indexing-by-rebuilding-your-instant-search-catalog-HA010237832.aspx

I have emails that appears when I do a search.. When I try to open I get a message that it cannot be opened because it does not exist or is being used in another application.
When I check properties file size show 0.. How can I remove these. When I go into explorer they do not appear in any directory... It's almost like its just a header
