I'm afraid this is as Yahoo made it. The only ways to get rid of it, probably:
- stop using yahoo
- use a paid yahoo account
- agree to using yahoo search engine
That last one, I think, is a browser dependent setting. So if you dedicate one of Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer and don't use it for other things, you can agree without affecting what you normally do in the other 2 browsers.
Horrible, of course, but if they force you ...
Hello everyone,
Using Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1 (build 7601) on desktop with Mother Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5KPL-AM SE X.0x. Firefox 55.0.3.(32 Bit). Duck Duck search engine. Email – Yahoo & Gmail.
When my Yahoo mailbox is being used, the open email text is showing longer than the space in which it appears and using the scrolling bar at the bottom does not allow reading of the text, it only moves the whole from side to side.
There is a “margin” to the right of this pane in which various adverts are shown by Yahoo.
There are small arrows on the right of the text pane which, when clicked, allow the text pane to fully open and the text is then wholly visible. Immediately, an advert appears to invite you to dispense with the adverts by agreeing to use yahoo search engine. I click “Not Now” and the invite disappears.
However, this ability to read the whole text of the email only lasts for a few seconds before it is automatically reduced again to the previous width.
The only way that I seem to be able to view the complete email without having the last words of each line hidden from view is to click on “Reply” and at that time the whole message is visible.
There must be some method of being “allowed” to read my incoming mail without having to go through this rediculous and time-consuming performance each time --
Does anyone have any ideas or advice????
Regards,
Colin.
