Question

Cannot print MS Office created documents

by elipol / November 1, 2015 2:02 PM PST

It starts only 4 days ago: I can print jpgs, mails, many other files, but not Word, Excel an PPT. I tried using Libre Office to primt MS Office files, but I cannot. The print pool says there is nothing to print.
If I create anew file in Libre Office, I can print.

Could they be going to an old printer non-existent?

What exactly happens when you hit print? Do you get a dialog box to pick the printer and settings, etc? See if there's another printer listed or even the same printer with/without a copy # on it. Did you change anything? Like get a new printer?

Answer
Strange.

A possible work-around: open it in Libre Office, save as Libre Office file, print.
Might work immediately, might work after close/open, might not work at all.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
