Cannot open windows help

Firstly run virus and spyware programs (if you dont have any let us know)
Steps
1/ check if your help and support service is running goto "admin tools" then "services" - look for "help and support" and make sure it is set to auto and that it is running.
2/ try and open a *.chm file manually - in explorer go to windows/help and right click on any chm file then select open (if open is not an option goto 3/ below)- the file should open - if not goto windows and see if a file call HH.exe is listed - if not let us know
3/ right click on a chm file again and choose open with... - it should recommend to open with windows help HTML help document - if not select search and goto c:\windows and select HH.exe - tick the box to have this always open this type of file.
If the above fails see this link:-

Let us know how u go

The problem has been fixed. The hhcrtl.ocx was not registed somehow which caused the problem.
