The error you're seeing is the result of a bad installation file.. The downloadable installed file needs to be downloaded again until the program installs correctly.. Try downloading the full installer file to your desktop and running it from there.

I am using Vista Home Premium & cannot install Quicktime 7.4 on my PC. I can download the software but when it goes to install a box pops up with the message "C:\Users\Jamie\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\LQTGGQXN\Quicktime740Installer[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application." I followed the troubleshooting advice given by apple.com on how to solve this problem for iTunes but it did not work. I uninstalled my earlier version of QuickTime but that did not work either. Please help me!
