Cannot get rid of Files Waiting to be written on CD Burner

by GraceSD / June 27, 2004 3:16 AM PDT

I continue to get a ballon that says files waiting to be written. When I try to delete the file, it says it is unable to delete it.

Is there any way to get around this? I went under the documents and settings/localsetting/microsoft/cdburning and still unable to delete.

Thanks for the info Bob, but the article did not have an answer to my problem.
When I re-start the computer, a balloon pops up and says I have files ready to write to disk. I place a disk in to write this file to get rid of it. It writes the file, but, then the file continues to sit there "to be written" and it won't go away. Is there a "glitch" somewhere?

Not an answer, but a set of tools.

I dropped a subtle hint you may need to disable IMAPI, but you may not have taken the hint.

To be blunt, sometimes we don't get direct answers, but tools to make our own solutions.

In closing, you didn't tell if you tried disabling IMAPI, deleting the temporary staging area and re-enabling IMAPI. The noted article did have enough information for me to accomplish this.
