Since you only have a bare USB Drive you put those on your router or a NAS.

There's some huge downsides to this. Mostly speed. It can really rankle that forked out for this and then see a fraction of the speed of USB 2.0. Figure 10X speed reduction.

Hi everyone. I currently have a Toshiba 1Tb external hard disk. It only has a USB lead coming out of it. I would love to find a way to make this disk wireless. How do I do this??? What I need is a wireless bridge that can RECEIVE a USB lead. Anyone know of one? I don't want an AirPort Extreme because that requires an Ethernet connection to the router. I just want to store the hard disk in a closet and switch it on when I i need it. I don't want to fiddle with wires and plugging it into my laptop. Thank you!!
