Cannot download software from internet

Sep 12, 2004 12:31PM PDT

I have Windows ME and Internet Explorer 6.0. I can no longer download any software from the internet. When I click the download button (example: Logitech wheel software from Logitech site, or anything else) I get an icon in the upper left hand of the monitor containing a red square, a green circle and a blue triange and the line above the taskbar says "done".

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Shirley

Look up IEFIX on google.com Try it.

What is your META REFRESH setting in Tools, Options? Since the setting moves around a bit. If you don't find it, keep looking. It needs to be enabled for some web based downloads to work.

Also, if you installed a firewall, then I leave it to you to learn how to configure it.

Thanks for your reply. The problem was actually with an old version of quicktime starting up when I attempted to download. I found Microsoft Knowledge Base instructions on removing a HKEY from the registry.
