Cannot download fron Cnet

by TommygunGardener / November 7, 2009 11:08 PM PST

I cannot download from Cnet because when I click on "download" I am taken to the web page where I should be waiting for a download box to pop-up and ask me whether or not I want to save or open the file, BUT, what happens instead of that box popping-up, I get a box that asks me for my user name and password to access an FTP server, I have tried all the possible things that could be my user name and password, but to no avail. I want to know if I need special access to download the file or what?

I am using IE-8 and XP home SP3. The file is "Killing Time V1.3(mac)". And I have an account at Cnet, and I am logged in with it when I try to download the file.

The FTP server's name is:

Any help or insight would be greatly appreceated. :\

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
