Cannot detect Harddrive

I am having trouble detecting a 2 gig harddrive. The Cmos is Ami Bios ver 1.00.02.cbo. As far as Iknow I have tried everthing. The cmos is looking for a bootable disk. Is there anyone out there who walk me through these processes.

Make model age of this 2G hard disk?
